My main reaction is amazement at how much information students have only a click away. Back in my elementary school days we could only use the encyclopedia IN the library.

I looked up Tapir  and found that while there was more information and a more advanced vocabulary in the Middle School level, both levels had the full set of images.

In Britannica High School I searched Eritrea. finding a 26 page article.

I liked the fact that the very first page contains a map which can be zoomed in on. For students weak on geography, it helps to locate the country first and then the zoom feature shows more details.  I suspect the favorite info on the right hand bar will be the “quick facts”, but the links to the web’s best sites would be terrific as well.

The Workspace is great – no need to print or take notes until all the material is gathered.

I read the abstract

Rosuvastatin-treated group (negative control) did not show any decrease in the time taken to cross the 3rd door when compared to the time taken to cross the 1st door. Treatment with curcumin at both 5 and 10mg/kg showed a significant decrease (p<0.001) in the time taken to cross the 3rd door when compared to the time taken to cross the 1st door and were comparable with that of piracetam-treated group.

and then tried “download PDF”  finding that with my home connection speed it was taking forever and another time I would stay with the online text.

IV  I then refined by date limiting to articles from Jan 2010 to Sept 2012  and got   466 results
